Ci recently announced Principal Chris Bauer as the new Practice Leader for the award-winning architecture firm’s Mixed-Use and Residential Practices.
Since the firm’s founding in 2009, Bauer has served as the Principal-in-Charge for complex mixed-use, retail, entertainment, hospitality, office, multi-family and single family developments across the United States. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the firm’s growing Mixed-Use and Residential Practices and deliver innovative design for communities to live, work and play.

Bauer’s varied project experience ranges from domestic and international clientele. Notably, he spearheaded the master plan and design of the $200 million North Hills redevelopment in Raleigh, North Carolina, which includes over 2 million square feet of high-density mixed-use retail, residential, hospitality, and office space. Other prominent projects include Aura Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; H&S Kneads Bakery in Baltimore, Maryland; and Center Point in Wilmington, North Carolina.
He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Architects, American Planning Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
